2023 — maximalists rejoice, start getting more crafty, invest in spathrooms and source your decor in a more considered way... Adding a pinch of warmth and comfort will be at the forefront of our interior design decisions. And we are also seeing some bolder and joyful colours emerge.

2023 sees more saturated colours that give us more energy, more joy and more peace in our homes ranging from ultramarine blue, vibrant red, all shades of pink (Pantone named Viva Magenta as the colour of the year 2023); as well as highly saturated orange, signal green, and peach. Warm yellows as well as more terracotta shades are also taking up more and more space in our colour spectrum. Also, painted borders or cornicing, colour blocking and stencilling highlighting interesting features is becoming more of a trend in 2023.

The earthy tones of taupe, mauve, peach or coral, as well as warmer whites give us a softer way of incorporating colour in our homes. In more contemporary homes, these shades add warmth and colour. Curvature can be found not only in furniture design but also extending the curves to archways.
